Advocacy is the pursuit of influencing outcomes through public-policy and resource allocation decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions that directly affect people’s lives.

At ACCESS AIDS Care, there are several ways you can get involved to help support and advocate for change - whether it be lobbying at the State level or participating at the grassroots level.

Campaign To End AIDSThe Campaign to End AIDS (C2EA) is a diverse, exciting new coalition of people living with HIV/AIDS, their advocates and their loved ones. Together, they are demanding that our leaders exert the political will to stop the epidemic, in the U.S. and abroad, once and for all. In small towns and big cities across America, they are mobilizing to ensure the best treatment and care for all HIV-positive people...and HIV prevention methods backed by good science.

C2EA in 2009: C2EA is ensuring the re-authorization of the Ryan White CARE Act by Congress this year to fund comprehensive care and treatment across the nation. They are also joining the fight to save Medicaid because over half of all HIV-positive Americans depend on it. C2EA is promoting progress in research and championing the survival of housing programs for people living with HIV/AIDS.

aidsvote.orgAIDSVote.org is a candidate education and voter education project working to make sure that candidates for public office know what it takes to end AIDS and that voters who care about ending AIDS know where the candidates stand on our issues. AIDSVote is a national grassroots organizing and advocacy project dedicated to ending AIDS through mobilization and advocacy led by people living with HIV/AIDS and members of the communities hardest-hit by the epidemic.

World AIDS Campaign The World AIDS Campaign (WAC) has been established to support, strengthen and connect campaigns that hold leaders accountable for their promises on HIV and AIDS. Their goal is to ensure governments and policy makers meet the targets they have agreed and mobilise the resources required in the response to HIV and AIDS.The World AIDS Campaign has been recognised as playing a unique role within civil society by supporting a strong social movement on AIDS that presses for promises to be kept.
